About Us Marsha Hill spent a summer keeping in touch with her co-worker, Valerie, on the east coast whose family spent the summer indoors with four children (under 12 yrs. old) in isolation to become lice free. All available forms of ridding lice were done to no avail. Valerie was in despair and her wit's end. Much money was spent on remedies, doctor visits, time, prescriptions, bombs, frustration, vacating their home and valuable lost time at work. Finally, after 6 weeks, she was told of a “nitpicking” service nearby. She immediately packed up everyone and invested in their service and education. When experiencing this trauma long distance with Valerie, it was disconcerting, empathetically traumatic and scary at all she and her four children and husband were going through. Her final comment was “I wish I’d known about this [nitpicking] service 6 weeks ago. It was worth every penny.” Marsha (CA) and Kathy (IL) have been friends (through thick and thin) since 1986 first meeting at work, a full fashion and image facility and salon in the Washington, D.C. area.
Once they heard of Valerie's plight with 4 children with lice and all she went through, it was almost a "calling"...another way of helping people overcome a bad situation!
Marsha Hill has her bachelor's in counseling from the University of Maryland, has been a world renown motivational speaker, lecturer and teacher on the topics of fashion, wardrobes, closet surveys, makeup/ skin care and color analysis. She also runs "Fluffy's Slumber Party" a dog care service. As she says, "This is another dimension of helping people with everyday situations. "Nitpicking" is certainly a jump from Image and Fashion consulting, but there is a great need for it. In the case of lice infestation, the focus is children. Why should they suffer! Once the problem of lice is gone, the result is harmony back in the home."
Kathy Foscherari has been in cosmotology for over 20 years. Her fields have been hair which includes cut and color, nails and makeup. In addition, she is a clown for children's parties, fundraisers and events where she does face painting and balloons to the delight of the children. She knows how to keep her little clients very calm, quiet and still while applying pictures to their little faces. Kathy believes that a chemical free and natural remedies along with her "hands-on" approach will shorten the time period that cause so much angst. The end product?...delighted children (and parents).
It is hard for us to see children hurting, itching, being isolated and not fully enjoying their little lives.
